When I was a kid my mother made a huge batch of banana bread batter. She made one loaf and put the rest of the batter in the freezer. Some time, much later, after we had consumed the first one, she put the frozen batter on the counter to defrost and when she poured the batter into the pan to bake it she realized that it seemed to be moving. It was full of fruit fly maggots. Extra protein.
Which reminds me of the old adage: Time flies like the wind, fruit flies like bananas.
