The cheese thing

So this was a no-fail-best-ever-can’t-miss recipe from Bon Appetit. “The Cheese Thing,” (see here for recipe) as it is called, looked pretty simple even as they gushed over its sublime deliciousness. My sister was coming over. I didn’t want a huge process and it seemed perfect and easy enough. And it was. I uncharacteristically followed the recipe. Except that I didn’t exactly. I added a jar of red peppers (and cut the recipe in half) which pretty much did nothing for the end product. 

At least I don’t think it did. It was good. Although not the mind numbing extravaganza Bon Appetit seems to think it is. I liked it a lot. I’d make it again. Without a recipe this time.
