Somehow this got made without my even realizing it. This lightly battered and deep fried (outside on my balcony on the handy side burner of my grill so the stink of frying food did not linger in my apartment) pakora (Indian vegetable fritters) was nearly miraculous. This was cucumbers, something I don’t really ever think about deep frying, and onions, something I often think about deep frying.

Served with green mango chutney (I could eat that with a spoon), they were awesomely, wonderfully spicy and delicious.
