Imagine my sister’s delight when she sees I’ve stolen her asparagus tart recipe and made it my own. She forgot to make it on Christmas so she made it for a siblings’ get together (minus Peggy but she’s not that fun so who cares) and it was delicious. And beautiful. Not to mention simple.
Start with puff pastry, then cheese (swiss) and then the asparagus. I’m not sure if she put down mustard before the cheese but you could, this is something that can accommodate lots of riffing. Olives, thyme, shallots, mushrooms, basil, the list goes on and on.
If you make it, everyone will think you’re real gourmet-like.
