This task combined the worst of my most recent baking experience. I had to remake the eggless cake because the initial one, though beautiful, tasted filthy. And then I had to frost it. Shoot me in the head. The cake turned out OK. Although being eggless it has a hollow taste to me. But worse is that without eggs it has less structure. the frosting tore it apart. Even on a good day I hate frosting cakes. I LOATHED frosting this one. And it was made even worse when the whole thing fell into the sink. I saved it. But it is not pretty.
In the end I decided not to make another cake with the extra part. I cut it into pieces and I will make bread (cake) pudding with it. Oddly it does not seem to be getting stale even after sitting out all night.
