So there was leftover dough and I had some mouths to feed on Saturday night and never one to shrink from a challenge, I made another chocolate tart for dessert. The cookie dough crust was a lot easier to deal with in the circular tart pan. Although, it’s a great cookie recipe, it’s a mediocre crust.
Making caramel is just plain miserable. Although this time I was slightly less intimidated. The adding of the coffee was still an alarming process. Once that was completed though, adding the butter, eggs and chocolate was easy and the end result was good. I’m not sure it was worth the trouble but it was good.
I served it with caramel sauce and whipped cream. You can serve kitty litter with caramel sauce and whipped cream and people will eat it. With gusto.
