Since I have converted to my husband’s religion and am now Hindu and therefore by virtue of his caste also a Brahmin I needed to bless my new stove with boiled milk. I know this sounds weird but unless you’re Hindu/Brahmin you wouldn’t understand. It’s a thing . . . a messy thing, but still.
