I suppose this isn’t real picadillo since I used stew meat instead of ground beef. On the other hand there doesn’t seem to be just one recipe for it. I intended Cuban picadillo rather than Mexican which has potatoes in it I think. It’s hard to know since no recipes are the same. One recipe called for a quarter cup of capers which seems like overkill to me. And I really like capers. Anyway I used my trusty Instapot to cook the hell out of the meat with garlic, onions and tomatoes first so it was falling apart. Then I added tomato paste, olives, capers and green peppers. I forgot the raisins.
I was good enough but I am not rushing off to Cuba anytime soon because of it.
