Oktoberfest in Berlin

Oktoberfest is actually only celebrated Bavaria, maybe only in Munich. But they try to have one in Berlin. This dealio got set up in Alexanderplatz. It was a sort of rinky-dink carny arrangement with lots of Alpen charm (not really). We happened upon it accidentally and although it looked goofy I thought it might be fun. Until it rained. And rained and rained. I felt sorry for those vendors. But we hoofed it out of there and into a giant department store where a certain horse-riding, badge-wearing keeper of alimentary regulations availed himself of a sale on glassware and we went home with a new set of cognac glasses or some such thing. Personally I never touch the stuff so I’m not really sure what they were for. Although I’d drink that before eating an anchovy.
