My South African friend Jason and his girlfriend were coming over for dinner and, I have no idea what possessed me but I decided to make kofte and mechouia for dinner. Two utterly time consuming, mess generating, putzy, and complicated dishes. I had/have a thousand other things I need to get done. I have 100s of bulbs that need to get planted, shelves to put together, a garage that is a complete disaster area. My pictures are not even hung. So why not create ungodly mess in the kitchen?
It was a mess, but god it was good.
