I didn’t know what this squash was. Neither did Pam, my CSA farmer. Despite it being nameless, I got it. It tastes pretty much like generic squash but there is something that is vaguely bacon-y about it. I made even more soup.
This time the soup was not as good, I don’t know if it was the squash or my imperfect method of measurement. It was fine, mildly flavorful, and yet, subtly bacon-y.
