When I am making a boxed cake I often don’t want the whole thing (unless I am feeding my office in which case they will eat all of it) and only realized at Easter that I can divide the mix up. This is very freeing. I can make little cakes. These particular ones required me to pour caramel sauce on them and so I made them in little casseroles. This is one third of a cake. It was enough for 4 people. And aside from that boxed cake taste (I should learn how to make a damn chocolate cake) it was really good. The boxed cake thing was masked by the caramel. Sorta.
