Healthcare in Germany

I haven’t been so good, sore throat, cold sore, achey. Nothing terrible. I haven’t been sick in years so it was inevitable. I just wish it hadn’t happened in the last 3 days in Frankfurt. (and I am not looking forward to the goddam flight home, connecting in Stockholm, ugh). It was Sunday and everything is closed and we had to go to the Hauptbahnhof which is where the only pharmacy in Frankfurt that is open on Sunday is located.

You have to get the drugs, even aspirin, directly from the pharmacist. Paracetamol (Motrin), 20 tablets cost 1.50€.

We went across the concourse to get a bottle of water so I could take it. 2.50€.
