Fusion chili

I made some really delicious chicken chili and threw a half cup of muffaletta olive relish into it. I had a jar of it on hand and if I let it sit there in the refrigerator I won’t eat it once it gets past a certain point, say a month, and I’ll just end up throwing it away, so, hey, why not throw it in chili.

I am not sure if it’s Mexican/New Orleans fusion, or MexTex/Italian, or possibly Mexicali/Cajan. A quick Wikipedia search tells me that it’s not Italian but Sicilian, so maybe Texican/Goombah. Whatever it was, it was shrieking hot, like I sweat blood hot, and totally delicious. Looking at this makes my mouth water. A little fearfully maybe, but water nonetheless.
