I had a living room picnic (pique-nique) for my French class. Billed as Un Vrai Pique-nique Americain (A real American Picnic), it was hardly one. It was in my living room, to begin with, and since it was evening and the sun was out, the blinds were drawn. And the potato salad had French pretensions. I used the Salade Niçoise dressing recipe. It was good but it was not really American at all. The BBQ was though. Can’t not love that.
I’m looking forward to having the leftovers.
