I have 40 unpublished drafts on my blog posting list. So I’ve decided to fill in some empty spaces during then during this boring month when I am not eating or drinking. (sad face emoji)
We were trying to have a late afternoon cocktail (beer for me) at the Café Paris (in Frankfurt). If you plan to do this outside on a fine day you must situate yourself so you’re not downwind of cigarette smoke. Everyone outside is smoking since they cannot smoke inside (except of course in Austria). Somehow the outdoor seating at the café was fairly available and we managed to snag a table. It wasn’t until we were seated and quaffing our respective beverages that we realized why people may have been avoiding sitting there. This nut job was pacing back and forth in front of the place, although his “conversation” did not seem to be directed at anything in particular. And while he was not exactly shrieking, he was engaged in a very loud discourse with himself. In German.
We left before he wound up the soliloquy not that I understood any of it.
