Book club food

We read Gloria Steinem’s My Life on the Road, a book I loved. Actually listened to it twice. As Diane, in the club, said, “I have seriously under estimated her. She is a hero.” As had I, and she is.

She wrote quite a lot about Talking Circles, the way in which people become engaged in conversation, learn and spread ideas and information. So we made eating circles. By we, I mean the Royal Indian Mounted Food Control police made them. Including the crust.

Sweet pepper and cabbage, carrot leek, and tomato feta. The pineapple became a pineapple tarte tatin. I didn’t get a pic of that. We were too busy having a talking circle.
