Blueberry prison

When I envisioned my garden I certainly didn’t imagine hideous cages all over the place while locked in a constant battle with animals. Particularly with things growing on a raised bed which seem relatively invulnerable. So I had a shock when I realized that my blueberry bushes had been gnawed down to nubs. This could only have been done by rabbits. Possibly deer which would make more sense but I cannot feature deer making it into my back yard. It’s possible but not likely.

When I saw that the blueberry stubs were getting little growing tips on them I took action. It’s into the clink. I’m not super sure this is going to work very well but I’m willing to try. I can see that I am going to have to enclose the entire thing in cages if I plan to get any…strawberries, peaches, apples, raspberries, grapes. Oh god. I’m exhausted already.

The thing is that I don’t even particularly like blueberries.
