Turkish for balloon bread. For a recent dinner with my fellow Tastebuds I attempted to copy the fabulous baked cheese, chopped salad and balloon bread we’d had as an appetizer on many occasions in Berlin. I couldn’t really find a recipe that I thought was exactly the same kind of bread we’d had so I used a recipe that appeared (in the YouTube) to be similar. It was close but not quite right. Possibly I did not roll it out thin enough. It was fine, I’ll eat almost anything. And no one complained which is as close to a compliment as I often get and I’ll take it.
The meal was fabulous as usual and we welcomed a new addition who, sadly, was not my husband (he’s here but was unable to attend), in the meantime we now have Jim. Welcome!
