It was time for another gathering of my French speaking friends. French bread was made. The napkins got folded all fancy like. And the menu was presented in advance via email.
Deviled eggs were the starter although I am not sure that they are particularly French. Ouefs mayonnaise are and these were ouefs with mayonnaise among other things. I made scallops with a leek and mushroom sauce in puff pastry. Unfortunately, the hollandaise sauce failed twice so the asparagus went un-sauced. I have no idea what the problem was but the asparagus was fine without it. At least I thought it was fine. And no one complained. It’s too hard to do in French. Just kidding, the French complain all the damn time.
